1951 F3 Wiring harness

Hello,

I'm new to this site. I have a '51 F3 that I've owned about 5 years. Runs great but I've recently learned the original wiring is thread-bare and a fire risk. Would like to re-wire entire truck but having difficult finding a complete wiring harness. Does anyone know if one is even available? Or, do I need to buy separate kits (cow, headlights, taillights, horn, etc.)?
Appreciate any insights.
Joe

I forgot to add that the truck is a 6 cylinder and runs on 6 volt. Really don't want to convert to 12 volt.

Welcome. I'd suggest talking to Chuck Mantiglia of Chuck's Trucks. He will get you set up correctly. Stu

Just installed one in an F1 same harness as yours would be. See Ron at Sacremento Vintage Ford in Cali. Exact wiring harness for our trucks Welcome to the Barn! Ken

Chris olsen at classtech. First class all the way. Built the harness for the 40 I just got on the road.

You can't beat the wiring harnesses from Sacramento Vintage Ford. As close to original as you can get.

If you buy a commonly available F-1 harness be sure to have the rear section made longer, or be prepared to splice in extra wire to make up the difference between 114" and 122" wheel base. Stu

There is not one harness for the entire truck. You will need to either buy all the individual harnesses, cowl, headlight, etc., or find someone who knows what harnesses you need to put all of them together for you and sell you them all at once. I second Stu's recommendation of Chuck. Chuck is very knowledgeable on the early F series trucks.
