I think this is the first time my '47 one ton panel has been driven since 1966. The PO bought the junkyard in Parker's Prairie Minnesota where it was sitting in the early '70s. This was a tough one. Everything was a struggle, but this afternoon it all came together with a few laps around the property.

Way cool, GB! It had been a while since I had checked into the FordBarn and the FTE site. You've made a lot of progress since this past winter!

Yeah, this thing kinda got ahold of me. I was powerless to quit on it. Hoping I can get some rest now that it's a running, moving wreck instead of a dead one.

Looks good. You might try an outboard motor gas tank in place of the gallon can it looks like you're using as a temporary tank. JMO

That's my normal first tank situation. I have a 6 gallon and an 18 gallon, both plastic. The squeeze ball in the line is also a plus for priming. The gallon can was hung on there quickly to replace a Jim Beam bottle that was hung in that location for first fire up. It wasn't big enough for more than one lap on my test track. I sold my outboard tank hose with it's fittings along with a '58 f600 fire truck last winter. That's how he drove it home. 150 miles, 6 gallons at a time. I went to napa, but they didn't have a made up hose and were out of the fittings too. Filming a youtube video after work today so I replaced the ugly paint thinner can with a rusty 2 gallon gas can for a better effect. Hoping to sneak in some time today working on the front clip. The blue one is from a friend in Big Fork Montana and we took it off a 1 1/2 ton. The original one has no bottoms to the fenders and the valance under the grille bars is really shot too. OK, back to work.
