Does anyone have any info on 1931 2-dr seats? ( Dim. of wood base-any info on the springs. The frames, I have been told they say are 31 2-DR. They came with a 31 Vickie. I need to know if they will work till I find org. 31 Vickie. Thanks Ed

Ed welcome to the barn!!!

Is your Vickie early or late 31? There is a difference in the seats for the victoria. You can make just about anything fit in the car now but it will not swap out using the same holes.

If I made a new wood seat bottom with the Vickie floor clips and rod to adjust(early type) would the 2-dr frame and springs fit?

Several folks over the years have adapted Tudor seats to Victorias. I've never paid much attention to what they did but you can certainly adapt a hinge to the front of a Tudor seat but I'm not sure if a Tudor seat will sit too low in the front with a Victoria type hinge. The rear seat pegs may also require changes. They are not adjustable on the Tudor seats and are located at the rear corners which will likely miss the center seat support platform on the floor. As you can see in the pic below, the adjustable rear supports are further forward and actually screw into "D" nut placed in the center of three holes in the backrest support bracket just above the wooden base.

For pics of original seats, see post #16 here:
