Headlight problem

Reconnected my lighting wiring harness to the switch. Everything works well except.... the driver side headlight does not work on low beam but fine on high beam. The passenger side light works fine on both beams. I have tried numerous bulbs and its not that. All ideas appreciated.

Re: Headlight problem

Colonel, the first place I would look is at the Headlight Wire Plug at the base of the headlight. Make sure the low beam wire (from Headlight Harness) is located in the proper hole of the Wire plug. There are 3 holes in the Plug. All this assumes you are using the original connecting system.

What year are the lights?
1928-early 29 had only 2 wires and connectors going to the headlamp. As Mag said the base of the headlamp is the first place to check, then check the socket to the bulb next. I use a short wire to test the bulb filaments right at the battery.

Mag has it there is not a separate terminal on the bail for left and right headlamps. While it is possible that the wire is not attached down there, it is very unlikely..
