Sisson's Garage, Wareham Mass. 6 Attachment(s)
Anybody have a model T that originated from Sisson's Garage? This was my grandfather's business. He passed away in 1928 when my dad was a year old. The family kept a bunch of artifacts but there were some really nice model replicas that I think showed available body styles. I remember as a teenager the family divided the models up and we kept some on our mantel. They eventually got trashed and have since disappeared. I have had probably 35 old ford trucks starting with a 28 AA in 1972 when I was 20 years old. I must have inherited the ford gene from my grandfather. My dad was never interested in vehicles. I may have an opportunity to buy a '26 T that was converted to a pickup. That's what got me thinking about Sisson's Garage.

Re: Sisson's Garage, Wareham Mass. Curious GB, I'm quite positive that, wasn't this garage involved with motor cycles?
And whoever owns it always had a black 1935 Chevy out front?? I haven't been by there lately, but last time there was a lot of bikes there... sam |

Re: Sisson's Garage, Wareham Mass. As I understand it, after my grandfather's passing my grandmother sold it to the Suddard family who owned it for many years and still might. While a Seattle native, I did live in Massachusetts from age 14 to 21 and remember Suddard Ford. The old brick building was torn down maybe in the 60s or 70s. I have a cousin in Brewster who got some of the bricks and incorporated them into his fireplace. Tried to find the location on a trip last fall but ran out of time. Boy would I love to have that sign over the door! In one photo is a soldier who was stationed during ww 1 to guard things. At least that's what my dad had said about that photo. He also said the workers would sit on the gas tank and drive the cars up to Boston to have the various bodies installed.
