Tool for attaching rivet to Deck Door... I got the flathead countersunk rivets to use to attach the upper left and right Deck Door brackets to the Deck Door for trunk usage.
Besides a special punch with a hollowed out area to form the upset of the flat head countersunk rivet, what other kind of tool would one think of to use to form the upset? Thanks. Pluck |
Re: Tool for attaching rivet to Deck Door... Air hammer with the same tool to fit it. Make sure the rivet is the right length sticking out, usually 1 1/2 time diameter. Bucking bar to fit on the back side. The aircraft industry has a lot of interesting rivet tools that they use, you might want to check that out also.
