not needed on a model A

had a first today on a car that came into the shop and thought i would share it with you all.. the cat is chained up with 8 locks:eek:. so no one steals it . if a thief is cutting it out with a saw zaw they could also easily cut the chain also:confused:
maybe just the visual of it will chase them..hmmmmm
its a good thing we don't have these on our A's:p

LOL

When Oklahoma was relaxed on smog tests, while visiting Chief, there was HUGE mountain of convertors behind the muffler shop, next to the Barber Shop! I ALMOST rented a van to bring them to California & sell them!! The owner even offered me $100.00 & a FREE HAIRCUT, if I took the WHOLE PILE!! (I COULD HAVE BEEN RICH!)

Here in So-Cal, thief's have been slithering under cars and stealing those cats like there hubcaps. ;) Between those and the rear seats out of SUV's. Go figure. When I was a kid we were after petrol. We didn't have the 35 cents a gallon for gas.

Reminds me of a guy I knew 40 years ago.

He had a cutting torch in his pickup bed.

Somebody stole the tanks, gauges and torch one night.

So he built a fancy system out of tempered steel that covered the tanks and gauges. It had two of those giant Master pad locks.

The next night the tanks and gauges were stolen again.

There was a note saying ...

"Thanks for leaving the gas valves turned on so I could easily cut the padlocks!"

Takes me back to my own misspent youth in NJ (Essex Co, Soprano country) and the things we did for gas. Like tipping a small plane in the old (gone now) Hanover airport. (It didn't work anyhow) And Gleeping an out board tank out of a boat. Or the time we siphoned a couple of gallons out of the starter engine (gas)on a big diesel machine. And Shaking out the hoses of a closed station! Ahh the memories! I want to go take a bath! Thank God I don't have to do that stuff anymore! Actually, I never wanted to do it then either. I think I will take that bath.
A regretful Terry

Now thats funny ! It would take all of an extra minute to get rid of that chain. Stealing Cats is kinda big around here, but, they only want brand new ones.

Someone was stealing gas out of my father-in-laws truck. He hooked up a fence charger next day found gas cap, rubber hose on the ground! No more stealing from him :-)

That's funny. I believe here in Ohio, scrap yards and the like are no longer allowed to take in cats. They are also not allowed to take in copper grounding rods.
