Got mine from Macs. Tell them what year car you have as there are different screw in patterns.

Thanks guys but C&g no good and my problem is I don't think these bulbs are correct for car - I took numbers off existing bulb

Try Speedway.Any straight pins(if yours are straight pins) 6-8v will work

Hi,
I have six GE 1184 single filament, double contact, straight post headlight bulbs that are NOS. They look the same as the Carlton's in your photo. I'll give them to you if you can attend Fitchburg on Sunday. I don't know our space yet but we will have a woodgrained 47/48 dash, two restored Ford heaters, a 39 truck grill (also restored), a Champion 1950 Spark Plug Service machine, a set of 41 Mercury hubcaps, a pair of original restored 1940 hubcaps, etc. Hope to see you there. Toby

30-9, What year Ford is your car? The bulb with industry # 1000 that you describe fits Ford headlights from Model A thru 1934. It has Ford part # B-13007-C. You should have no trouble finding this bulb. I don't understand your dilemma. Is it the price or the fact that your car isn't a Ford between Model A and 1934

Here's an image of the bulb.

Re: Headlight blub

50-32 has always been a better choice, giving 50 candlepower on high beam. Available aftermarket back in the day.

Re: Headlight blub

You have to be careful with some of the new replacement bulbs as a lot of them
have the filament shaped wrong and you can't focus the headlights. The filament
shown in post #8 is correct. 1188 is the number for the 50/32 bulb.

Thanks all - all good advise - I think Don nailed it for a number I can try

Re: Headlight blub

You never did say what year you are working on. If it's a 39 the
correct bulb is 48-13007-A not B-13007-C (1000).

The car I'm working on is a 39 but I know the bulbs are not correct nor is the housing for 39
