Thanks to Tom Wessenberg

Tom, I have followed your advise on two items, It worked on both. On the timing gear I followed the picture that you had posted. Checked the timing on the engine. Engine started after about two revolutions, runs good.

On the broken steering arm, I compressed the ball and spring with a large C clamp then put a very small C clamp on the ball cup. Put the shaft in a vise and was able to use a large screw driver to pry the ball and shaft out. I followed your advise and wore leather gloves and face shield.

It was installed wrong.

Thank you for your knowledge of the A, and your willingness to share.

I agree there are lots of great people here. I simply thanked one of them, who had posted good advise that worked for me. How could that possibly slight anyone?

Dusty,
I could write a book about Buster T. He's the most intelligent Dog:cool: I've ever known of. I'm NEVER bored, as he's SO much fun. He thinks he's a PERSON, I wish all my friends were as LOYAL as he is. He loved Gregg so very much & Gregg was the ONLY person that could put a leash on him & he was a perfect leash Dog:cool: for him:D
He always sleeps under the covers with me & his FARTS don't even stink:)
Bill W.
