bosch coil

Well last week will driving my roadster which has a 59AB in it, it started to miss a little and then further down the road, miss a lot more and then finally about another mile and it just plain fell on it face. Got out and first thing I checked was the coil and ouch,,,,,,,that puppy was hotter than a cowboys pistol. Since then I have read about 5 old threads on coils and a lot of info, from Bubba. So today I installed a new Blue Bosch 0012. Fired right up so we will see in the next few days or maybe weeks, or months, how it does. Thanks Bubba for all you do on this forum. Just for general info, I am running a 59AB, with an isky Max 1 and dual 94's and the stock crab distributor. Just cant beat a flathead. ;) Mark.

Re: bosch coil

Dist. mtd coils and 46-8 coils require a resister in the circuit or they will burn out. You do not say what unit you have or the voltage. Some 12v coils require a resister.
