1932 rear brake drums? 1 Attachment(s)
I have started collecting all the different brake parts in boxes for the next 1932 waiting in the shed.
This chassis came with the later rear end. The brake drums on the rear were of two different types. One was without any obvious markings and the other one is pictured in the attachment. Are any of these more correct than the other or are they just from different suppliers? Like maybe K-H, Budd, or Ford. Anybody who knows? Thanks! |
Re: 1932 rear brake drums? If your other drum is the same except for those markings, then they are both equally correct given what remains exposed after a wheel is attached. One with Ford script and a part number is not common and likely was a post-production service part, in this case perhaps made in 1937. Those with just the K-H marking are more common, although the most common one has no markings as to its maker, part number, or date and no Ford script.
