1933 rear brake rod The passenger side rear brake rod broke on my 1933 chassis and got bent up pretty badly.
Any ideas on where I can find another one? Thanks! Brad |
Re: 1933 rear brake rod Ha, just a pair of NOS ones. I saw someone asking $75 a pair in the classifieds though.

Re: 1933 rear brake rod Brad, three places you may find one, Mike Driskell (Tenn) 615 293 9985....Bob Jones @ Dennis Carpenter 704 786 8139 (ask for Bob) he is only there 8to2 Monday to Thurs. Southside Obsolete (Fred) 507 332 6789. If all else fails you could make one up from new rod. Ken

Re: 1933 rear brake rod Thanks Ken!
I have thought about just making one. It shouldn't be hard, but I thought maybe somebody here might have some laying around after a conversion to Hydraulic or something. I tried Mac VP and he said he doesn't think they are manufactured by anyone these days. |

Re: 1933 rear brake rod I placed an ad in the wanted forum. Got one hit but it turned out that the guy had the front ones and not the ones for the back. Granted I didn't add the measurements.
The end to end with the Clevis' attached is 62.5". Thanks for the advice Charlie. |
Re: 1933 rear brake rod Maybe try Richard Lacy at the EV8Garage. He replaces mechanical brakes with hydraulics. He MAY have some "take-offs". DD
