Miller H-Speed Head Co I heard its great performance for the Model A, but not sure if I like the modern look and the distributor they use. The price I was told is up to $4,700. I guess you better have a good set of brakes with this OHV.

Re: Miller H-Speed Head Co Lots of 'adjustments' are need to install a Miller-Shofield OHV head. I had to remove my Firewall 'Junction Box' for starters. And in 1965, there were no waterpumps available for the head. I think that there are now. I had to use a vintage side-drive waterpump. Also a WICO top-drive magneto in place of a distributor, etc. etc.

On my Miller head I used. A Head gasket from Hi- Speed Miller Co. 4.030 bore .040 thick, with Siamese steel fire rings 110.00 dollars P/N PGC-208 Performance gasket concepts, inc
This head is a Miller because I made it my self, but not the Miller every one knows about. |

YOUR head is as much or more of a Miller head....because you are Mr. Miller....more so that shiny billet Miller head being referenced here for $4700. IMO. The Miller, then named the Schofield/Miller and finally named the Cragar (all in a matter of very short time) were ALL cast iron creations...nothing like what is called HI Speed Miller today. At least your 'Miller' is based upon your individual skills/creativeness. I have a '30 Schofield. The casting is rough, by todays standards, IMO, but it is a thing of beauty in cast iron ! BTW...Do you like RED :D |
