Burnishing Emergency Brake

I installed all new brakes including new Emergency Brakes. The Emergency Brake held well on the jack stands under pressure from me with a pry bar. My problem is I stopped on a pretty good hill and pulled the brake lever. The car barely moved BUT it did want to roll ever so slowly backwards. The handle only pulls to 3-4 clicks.

My question is should I drive several times, for lets say 50 yards, with the Emergency Brake just so ever slightly applied to burnish the linings like with service brakes? I've read the carrier can only take so much pressure...as in if used in a real emergency change the carrier because it probably was damaged.

Is the Emergency Brake supposed to hold like a new car? It definitely slows but just can't totally hold on a steep hill.

Re: Burnishing Emergency Brake

I would imagine it should be able to hold the car rock steady...
