HAPPY NATIONAL FFA WEEK!
A few may know that I am very active in our chapter FFA. last year we won state with Agricultural Issues and went to the National FFA Conventionlast fall with it.
Over the past few years, one of my SAE projects (supervised agricultural experience) has been restoring my AA truck and buying and selling parts. (The buying and selling falls into the "Ag Sales" and my truck falls into "Ag Mechanics")
This spring I will be receiving my state FFA degree at state convention, and I am working towards my National American Degree.
The FFA has tought me a lot in the last few years and I am happy to be apart of it. I have milked a lot of cows and wrenched on a lot of things thanks to my SAE.

FFA and other types of vocational education are true treasures. I myself attended a vocatonal school my last two years of school and my course of study was electricity. The two teachers, both fmr Navy men gave me lessons that changed my life --such as their further encouragement to earn my B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Yes non-trained Teachers with real world experience do make a difference.

Congratulation from and old FFA member. I think it was 1968 two buddies and myself won the state Farm Mechanics Award in Arkansas. We didn't know we were entitled to compete in the national competition, our teacher didn't want to make the trip. I also have a double AA 1930 truck.

Thank you! Next year I am planning to stay close to home and go to college to become a machinist. I have a couple of machine shops in the are I am looking to work at.

Congratulations from an FFA member from 50 years ago. The VOAG shop gave me training that I used to build and renovate houses, work as a Ford mechanic, and run my own restoration shop. While in the program I rebuilt my father's model A engine in the school shop, and restored a Farmall F20 tractor that belonged to a farmer I worked for. Great memories.

Congratulations John from yet another former FFA member. The mechanical and welding skills that I picked up in ag shop have served me well. Its a shame more parents and students don't consider the value of agricultural or vocational education. Keep up the good work!
