Rear spare tire mount question

There are two brackets attached to the rear lower panels on a 30' sport coupe. One on the inner panel and another on the outer panel. What type of fasteners hold the brackets to the panels??

Thanks!!

If you are talking about these supports then they are both attached with 3/16" steel rivets.

The configuration of brackets is different for a car with a trunk instead of a rumble seat.

Bob,
What you need is the bracket in the picture I pasted in below when the coupe or roadster has a trunk. You should already have the vertical bracket just inside the outer panel shown in Marco's first picture - the curved bracket riveted to the curved inner panel is used just for coupes or roadsters with rumble seats in them. The vertical bracket is used on all coupes and roadsters whether they have rumble seats or trunks. The bracket in my picture is riveted with 2 rivets to the rear edge of the trunk platform (you could use machine screws, but Ford used rivets) and the large bolt that attaches the spare tire bracket goes through the big hole on the opposite end of the bracket in my picture, then the big hole in the vertical bracket, then the outer panel into the big D nut of the spare tire carrier. This bracket is used to provide more support for the spare tire. If you have other questions about how the trunk area is done, PM me.

Bob said it was for a Sport Coupe so I didn't mention trunk parts.

Marco,
Yes, if his car is a sport coupe, which he stated it was, it came with a factory installed rumble seat. Someone must of changed it back to a trunk. Sport coupe's should have rumble seats, as it is easy to communicate with the people in the front, unlike many coupes with enclosed tops, which in my opinion should have trunks.
