Economical transporter

Hi everyone,
Has anyone ever had to ship a hot rod/classic car across the states? I would appreciate any recommendations for a reputable, but not outrageously priced transporting service.

Thanks in advance. ;)

Three very good reasonable transports on the H A M B. I used T&A ,but there is also Bills & Truly Vintage.

Closed or open trailer? Closed are bigger $. I went through a broker to haul open trailer 2700mi and cost $1600. Broker got $200 and driver got the rest. Cheaper than I could've done it myself.

I have never had a vehicle transported, but the deal Binx mentioned sounds great.
Use an enclosed trailer to protect your vehicle and also discourage theft.

RRG- As others have suggested, the HAMB is a good source for service providers in the HAMB O'Dex. One of the larger impacts on your final cost, after distance of course, is timing. If your transport dates are reasonably flexible the transporter can bundle other moves to manage your cost down. Good luck with the move.

Yep T&A on the HAMB is super solid and great my first choice for any transportation needed.

BenD (T & A transport) brought a '53 Plymouth from Texas to Florida for me. He was great. Now if it had just been a Ford I'd still have it.

It was brought to my attention that "rat rod" is not a popular word on this site. I don't understand why we all can't get along. I enjoy all types of cars and trucks whether they have shiny paint or flat, stock or modified, etc. Maybe it's because I'm a girl, I just don't get it. But thank you to all who replied :)

It does not matter to me whether a person is a rat rodder, hot rodder, street rodder, restorers or anything else on here. I think it is good to hear opinions and such from a variety of people with different backgrounds, experiences, ideas, knowledge, etc. JMHO. I'm not afraid to learn from anybody.
