water flow direction for heater 1953 ford

on a 1953 Ford passenger car, in what direction does water flow for the heater?
from the head thru the heater core to the water pump OR from the water pump thru the heater core to the head?

Just make sure that your hot water enters the BOTTOM of the heater. That way, the heater is always full of hot water. If it enters the top, it can just fall through and cause air pockets.

From the head to the bottom of the core and out the top to the water pump.
