Re: rods

Original wrist pins were 1" in diameter. They should fit with a "light thumb push". At one time pins were available in several oversizes, starting with .001" over. A special hone is required to fit them. One-piece guides are best, they require new valves with straight stems.

If you could take several pictures, I don't know about telling original, but maybe see in they are rebuilds?

NOS Ford rods won't have a 1-4 number stamped on the bolt boss, rebuilt ones will
