337 Vs, 8Ba
 

Does the 337 have 3 exhaust ports each side as the 8Ba does.
Is the sound the same Between the two engines or entirely different ??
( I know how do you explain a sound ) go ahead try I know you can.
What was the H.P, of a stock 337 ?

The 337 engine is of the same design, just larger. It has three exhaust ports just like its little brother. They are a very quiet and smooth running engine when equipped with hydraulic lifter cam followers. The trucks that have solid followers sound more like an 8BA at idle. The 1951 Lincoln car model engines were rated at 154 hp with 275 ft/lbs of torque at only 1800 rpm. The truck engines were rated at 145 hp.
