Rear window shades on 1930 Tudor Did the standard (55B) Tudor come with rear window shade? Mine does not have one and would like to add if this is considered "correct"
|
Re: Rear window shades on 1930 Tudor No it did not. Not sure if it would be difficult adding one, like having wood backing to screw into? Perhaps others can comment if it would be a problem or not. The shades are handy when driving at night, to cut down on the reflection of lights behind you.

Re: Rear window shades on 1930 Tudor Their is a wooden frame around the rear window. I should have taken a picture of this frame ( :-( ) before installing upholstery kit.

Re: Rear window shades on 1930 Tudor My 29 Tudor has a rear window shade. I'm pretty sure all closed cars came with the rear shade.
Town Sedans also had rear side window shades, but I'm not sure if the standard Fordor came with the side shades. |
Re: Rear window shades on 1930 Tudor I had several tudors and they all had shades in the rear window.

Re: Rear window shades on 1930 Tudor Yes, standard tudors had rear window shades. See Restoration Guidelines 12-8. My 1930 standard tudor came with the remnants of the original interior, and the window shade brackets were still in place on each side of the rear window, although the shade roller was missing.

Re: Rear window shades on 1930 Tudor Have any of you folks tried to drive at night without a shade? I did once and it was a nightmare, no pun, pull the shade down on the rear window and you will not have light jumping around all over the inside .
