United Motors Key for 1930 Model A?

Does anyone know if United Motors Key #098U will fit a Model A Ford ignition or door? It was posted as being for Briggs&Stratton auto applications 1924 through 1930?

I believe that United Motor was the predecessor of General Motors.

History
United Motors Corporation was formed by William C. Durant in 1916 as an automotive component and accessory holding company. Durant was the owner of Buick and founder of General Motors in 1908. After he lost control of General Motors in 1910, he subsequently founded Chevrolet in 1911 with Louis Chevrolet and the profits from this permitted him to regain control of GM in 1916. At approximately the same time, he assembled United Motors.

No, it wasn't. General Motors was founded in 1908, eight years before United Motors was founded in 1916. At the time when Durant founded United Motors, he was no longer employed by General Motors. He returned to GM shortly after he founded United Motors and General Motors purchased United Motors in 1918.

United Motors then became the umbrella division for General Motors parts and accessories, which included all of the various Delco divisions, plus New Departure Hyatt, AC Spark Plugs, and many other well-known automotive parts brands.

I have an incomplete UM catalog from the early 30s and I checked it for the keys. I found the prices but not the key numbers. Sorry. :(

Here are some nos. for the Model A Ford key application and side views. Model A numbers run from 850-1550. Also note a couple of supplied key codes at bottom. I did not include full page codes for security reason. If you needa key recommendation for other vehicles PM me.

Thanks guys, this locksmith said:
The ford key with code a850 uses the original briggs & stratton blank 42107 and the united motors key blank 098U is compatible, although my briggs & stratton book notes that the a850 is for 1928/29 ford....
We shall see........
