1950 Ford Custom VIN ID Engine ID help

I have just picked up a 1950 Ford Custom two door.
Can any one help me with breaking the serial number on the nameplate HDKC154735?
There is also a number stamped on the firewall (K1160331)???? .
The engine is a 6 cylinder with 7HA6050-02 cast in the cylinder head.

Where was it made?
What body type?
Color Code?
Trim Code?

Any help is appreciated!

Thank You!

Thank You for the suggestion. I have already looked at it. It does not seem to decode.

The HDKC154735 is probably H0KC154735. This decodes as:
H= 6 cylinder
0= 1950
KC= assembled in Kansas City
154735= the production number

The cowl code you have is a partial code. You should have something like the example below:

Example: DA C73 4 41 15L 102
DA= Dearborn
C73= Custom Deluxe Fordor
4= Meadow Green
41= Custom Deluxe Mohair
15= Day of month
L= Month of year
102= Schedule item number

I can send you a better copy of the service letter by email. [email protected]
