Flathead V8 and Trans Repair/ Rebuild Shop Recommendations Please

Does anyone have a list of recommended shops or individuals that repair flathead V8s and 3 speed OD transmissions in the New Jersey area?
Thank you.

It depends on the diagnosis. Thanks for your info.

Instep, you should continue your dialogue with Ancient Auto. Jon does some amazing work. If he can't help you, he won't waste your time. Also a trip to his shop is like a trip back in time, depending on what he's working on at the moment.

Regards...Dick.

I appreciate the endorsement. Unfortunately he's several hours away and that may be the problem, however still a possibility.

Thanks, Andy

I know this is too far away to help you, but was wondering about Jim's Trans. in Okla. He used to advertise in Hemings. Any one know if he is still around?

Apparently a different Jim unless he's moved from Oklahoma. I have talked to Jim (of Jim's Trans) a couple of times and have been out to his shop, but that was years ago. I think he was carrying for an ailing mother or other relative. Surely some of you have dealt with him. He advertised in Hemmings early v8 parts section for years and years.
