Car Club

Well on Saturday , October 18th I will be joining a local car club here called The North Shore Old Car Club in massachusetts , the same one my dad belongs to . I can only join as an associate member for now , as the car has not been transferred to my name yet . At least I will have a good start of getting to know some folks and maybe get some leads / help on things I may need in the near future . I got a few different books so far , The Model A Ford Carburetors by Paul Moller . Model A Ford Restoration & maintenance Handbook by Paul Moller , Also volume 2 by Paul Moller , How to Restore Your model A volume 4 from the restorer , Restorers Model A Shop Manual by Jim Schild , Model A Ford Mechanics handbook by Les Andrews , and that is just a start . Been doing a lot of research and been getting to know some of the basic things . This forum has been a great help with the many posts from great minded people that I have read so far . Anyway , that is where I am at so far . This Saturday I am going to adjust the brakes and do the Toe in , hopefully my dad will feel up to sitting and watching me work on the A , and giving me some advice . Well ,work is bellowing me , need to make an attempt at doing something for the company , rather read more posts here , but .

Re: Car Club

Most car clubs do not require car ownership ! They are usually after people with an interest in antique / classic car collecting. The club you are looking at joining is certainly old school by today's standards.

The club here is more into drinking coffee than doing much. Needless to say, but I am no longer a member. I have nothing against coffee (I drink about 4 cups every morning), I don't need a membership for that. I hope your experience is better. Rod
