shock link removal ? anybody--- got any sugestions for removing front dog bones from the shock arm & perch pins soaked both them in oil tried brass hammer but no luck real stubborn little buggers---thanks

Re: shock link removal ? Remove the nuts, strike the perch with a 3 or 4# hammer where the link is bolted and the tapered pin should pop out. Do the same with the shock arm, backing it up on an anvil and it should pop out also.

Re: shock link removal ? If you don't plan on reusing them, a tie rod end removal tool (aka: pickle fork) will make easy work of it.
If you want to reuse them, you'll need a tie rod end removal press tool. |

Re: shock link removal ? Bruce had Same problem,,a litte heat using small torch,about 1/4 wide strip red hot ,a light tap with hammer and they popped right out,put a nut on first ,just a few treads to protect the link threads
