New Product for Rust Prevention: Rust Bullet??? I've been looking at previous posts regarding rust prevention and my head hurts. Zeibart, rust converters, rust encapsulators, rustoleum (oil base), roofing tar, used motor oil and etc. etc. I found a YouTube video on this product called Rust Bullet and they claim that several years of testing proves this product is superior to anything else on the market. Any feedback form the forum?

Re: New Product for Rust Prevention: Rust Bullet??? Personally I'm in favor of removing rust completely rather than slobbering any converters or encapsulators over it and then burying it under new paint.

Re: New Product for Rust Prevention: Rust Bullet??? I agree with Mike above. However there are places like inside doors that are very hard or impossible to remove all the rust. Usually the rust isn't too bad, but a good anti-rust product would be helpful. I used an Eastwood product, a yellowish spray with a long plastic straw-like deal on the spray nozzle, that was advertised as an inside frame rust sealer product. The fellow at Eastwood recommended it verses a rust encapsulator. I sprayed in inside my phaeton doors to stop rust (if possible). I hope it seals the inside bottom of the doors.

Re: New Product for Rust Prevention: Rust Bullet??? Leo, Rust Bullet is not a new product, been around for years. http://www.rustbullet.com/?utm_sourc...aign=GenRustPC
After cleaning the floor and removing all scale and lose rust I painted Rust Bullet on the entire floor of my '55 Ford Ranchwagon. And inside the doors and quarter panels. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8173/...5466daf323.jpg Then covered entire floor with Dyna-Mat. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8179/...76904acf9d.jpg |
