Re: Gilmore MODEL A DAY Sept 20-21

Hi,
International Model A Ford Day, Sept 13, local rain date 9-14, is being celebrated in hundreds of locations around the world. I sent patches to three clubs in New Zealand, even.
IT IS ALSO EXPANDED TO INCLUDE SEPT 20 FOR THE GILMORE MODEL A DAY.

Its a time when everyone takes their car for a spin EVERYWHERE.
Clubs and individuals can just plan on a place to go or just a drive, but I WOULD appreciate PHOTOS sent to [email protected]
that I can submit to the National magazines. Hopefully these photos will have the a TOWN NAME or recognizable LANDMARK so readers don't just see people standing next to cars with no differentiation whether they are in Texas or Alaska.
PATCHES are still available, 3.5 inch, embroidered, iron-on patches for $3 each which includes shipping first class mail, minimum, fifteen patches, with ALL PROFITS going to the National Club's Youth Scholarship and Restoration Programs.
order and check to

THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT !!

Unfortunately you forgot about the little guy in the hobby. The individual is just as important as the club member but you limit the patches to 15 or more. It makes no sense to me whatsoever! Hopefully future management of the event will be more open minded and cognizant of the non club member. Wayne

I have purchased 30 patches for our club and sold them to individuals for 3.00 so the little could have one also... The best way is to buy them from your local club or a member that has purchased them so everyone can take advantage of them this was the "little guy" can also get them at any time. I am sure everyone knows someone that is a member of a local Model A Club

I am really looking forward to attending the Gilmore on Saturday.
One side note, it is scheduled the same time as the MARC National Tour...again.

Easier said than done ! My closest club is 200 miles away and when contacted they had not even heard of the patch let alone purchased them ! Wayne

Twenty -five members are boarding a tour bus on Thursday morning and heading to the Gilmore. Be there all day Saturday. I got permission from the bus company to take my KRW generator tester and will donate it to the museum. Sure looking forward to seeing everyone and everything I can.

Re: Gilmore MODEL A DAY Sept 20-21

I have posted before that if someone wants one or two patches, send me $5 per patch and I will get it (them) in the mail right away.
I have posted this previously and have not seen any orders from those who do not belong to a group.
ALL PROFITS go to Model A Youth National Programs, Scholarship / Restoration.
Thanks for all the support for IMAFD and Good Luck at Gilmore !
Bruce

Just returned back from Gilmore's Model A Days at Hickory Corners, Had a very nice time. The swap meet had a lot of Model A stuff.
I guess maybe 150 cars showed. The weather held pretty good.
Went to a couple of the seminars, very informative.
Went thru most of the buildings, could have spent four days looking at all the cars. Awesome place to visit. Afordman31

Re: Gilmore MODEL A DAY Sept 20-21

The Model A day was very well attended based on the weather forcast. it did stay nice on Sat until about 4 . I was set up in the swap meet area and was so busy that I couldn't find time to check out much of the other dealers stuff. Lots of good parts and a few cars for sale.
