Truck Fan Pulley Questions. 7 Attachment(s)
1. Can anyone tell me what year Ford pick up this fan pulley is from?
2. How can I stop the oil from leaking out between the shaft and the hub? The number on the shaft is 112036. the number on the hub is 112038. The pulley is wide belt and is 5 in. in diameter. Pulley shaft is 3/4 dia.Photos are below. |

Re: Truck Fan Pulley Questions. You most likely have to much oil in the assembly. Remove the fitting and add oil til it starts to run out. Then rotate fan til the fitting faces down and drain out all the oil. When it stops dripping, install the fitting again.

Re: Truck Fan Pulley Questions. And if you look at last picture in first group, you will see the mechanism, which is the tube protruding inward from the plug. You fillit with oil through that with hole upward, then rotate until hole points down and leave it that way for a while. Any oil above the level of the tube will run out and the remaining oil is the intended amount.
