Clutch and Pressure Plates Rebuilt by Fort Wayne Clutch

8 Attachment(s)
Just recently had two 9" c&pp assemblies rebuilt by Fort Wayne. Not only is their workmanship outstanding but total time to ship cores to them and get them back took less than one week! Just wanted to let you see what they look like. Also, the total price was about the same as many of the big suppliers are charging for their new assemblies that are more than likely made in Asia.

They look great! Are the PP springs tested and/or replaced of needed?

They do look good. Didn't see any mention, are the match balanced and indexed?

I know some of the springs in the cores were either broken or loose in their mounting. These spings are all nice and thightly in place. Assuming they are new and I believe I read on their website that all springs were replaced with new, but will check that again.

You can see that round balance weights have been added in some of the pictures. Not sure about indexing.

I will be putting these to the test soon. One set is going in my basically all stock '35 5w coupe. We also intalled a set in a friends '36 fordor touring sedan recently that is driving and shifting very well as far as I know.

That method of balancing is adequate for a stock engine but definitely not for high performance use.

Yep, most certainly one of the "good" places to deal with.

Why would you buy a new clutch from ?, when you can get the excellent quality and service from Fort Wayne USA.

Exactly, as long as I'm around and they are in business, they will get my business.

I get all my clutch and PP from Fort Wayne, if I am building stock car or race engine I have them stronger springs installed, they are the best balanced PP, I have all my engines balanced, do the wheel first and then bolt the PP to the wheel and balance and index mark. Walt

They re-built the c&pp for my V8-60. Excellent work, quick, and cheaper than buying new(if I could have found new).
