Another Bronco Mystery

So my 1991 Bronco had an Audiovox add on sometime after it was new. I found a key remote in the glove box with two buttons on it. It is a model ELVAL777A, but what was it for? There is one small led light to the right of the steering column mounted under the dash with a black wire/white tracer and a small box mounted to the left of the steering column inside the dash with a red wire. Both of these wires pass through a hole in the firewall out to the engine compartment and there they end connecting to nothing. Someone said that there may have been an alarm at one time and it was removed. That being possibly true, could I than have power door unlocks for key less entry? I've got the drivers door panel off to investigate but what should I look for? Help.

ELVAL777A is a keyless entry/alarm remote by Audiovox PURSUIT or PRESTIGE, fits many models.

Frank, I'm starting to think you are correct. I've read that the two button remote could be used for alarm or door locks. Having said that since I have the door panel off to fix the window motor I was hoping that someone could tell me what would be attached to the door locking mechanism for remote door operation.
