1931 coupe carb
 

My 1931 coupe has a Tillotson Model X on it. Was this the make of carburetor
that probable came on it.

It came with a Zenith carb from the factory.

As Dick said, it came with a Zenith, but if it runs fine just keep it. Some people prefer them over the zenith carbs. It is up to you.

I personally prefer the Tilloston over the zenith - but a good one of either will work just fine. I have 2 tillys and 2 zeniths on my 4 As - one on each car of course.

Thanks for input, GAV does not seem to make much difference. Thinking about putting kit in it.

Don't through out the jets if they are original. And get a paper clip straightened out for cleaning the passages out.

I run a Tilly. Is your's working OK? If so I'd leave it alone.
If you close the GAV all the way down will it lean out and miss?
