V8 60 Commercial Trans Case- Uses "Large" Gears

City: Gilroy
State: CA
Price: $275

6 Attachment(s)
This is an unusual piece, a V8 60 commecial case, part #73-7006, which allows the use of the regular 85/90 HP gears behind a V8 60. These were available in commercial vehicles starting 1937 thru 1940. This case bears a '37 serial number and is in very good condition with the rear thrust showing no wear, no cracks in the case, has a NOS throwout shaft (#73-7510) and clutch fork(#73-7515). I have rebushed the 2 throwout shaft bores in the case and installed a new USA oil seal in the front bearing retainer. The rear retainer bolts are correct with the double drilled hole while the 6 top and 4 front bolts are NOS part # 48-12148 which are the bolts with the .312 Dia shoulder to align the shift top and front bearing retainer. The case is bead blasted, ready to paint on the outside while red insulating enamel has been applied to inside surfaces. This case is ready to be completed as a transmission and any of the '36 and later 28T or 29T clusters will fit this case.
I do have a NOS 022C-7510 throwout shaft available for use in a '40 frame with the later clutch linkage.

Send me a PM with any questions. Price is $275 plus shipping.
Thank you for looking, Paul J.

I'll consider reasonable offers on this uncommon transmission case.
