BTW, my father-in-law restored the car in 1977.

very nice car it looks to have been nicely preserved since restoration. whats the tin foil for on the pop out cable

The Olive Green goes nice with the tan. The dash rail and gas tank color treatment is something Henry should have thought of.

This is the first time I've seen that color combo, but they look very nice together.

I agree with Greg, that the dash and gas tank treatment looks nice.

I also was wondering about the aluminum foil?

It looks like there might have been a gas shutoff valve leak and the foil is covering where the gas would hit the mat. Just my observation.

Nice looking car. I too like the color combination and the way he did he dash. The way the color at the bottom of the glass on the door extends with the stripe on the hood is cool. Even the Upholstery looks new! Love the license plate with the year on it. Enjoy it.

Thanks guys....just talked to my father-in-law about the tin foil, he had no idea why he put it there??

As far as the color...according to his original paperwork, and he saved every single receipt from the the restore, even for 20 cent screws, these colors are supposed to be Copra and Chickle Drab.....go figure.

I love it when folks paint things to suit themselves!! If everyone painted according to "the book", you might not be able to find your car at a BIG MEET!
