throw out bearing

Stupid me, does the ridge on the bearing face the pressure plate or the tranny?
I can't remember, should have taken a photo be fore disasembly.:(

hold the bearing on the out side with your hand, the smooth plate on the front will turn free, that goes against the pressure plate

as tom said ... the rotating side goes to the pressure plate
