The 1929 Ford blindback was actually made by Briggs in two different styles (60B and 60C). Try a Google serch on "1929 Briggs body wood" and you will come up with a lot of pictures of the body style. It may help you see how the bodies were built. It does show other body styles but should be of some help.

Here is site that shows a sedan undergoing restoration. http://www.model-a-ford.com/proj_11.shtml

Geez if you were any closer there is a guy out here hot rodding a 4 door and selling the front seat. It is a 30 though.

I restored a 60C back in 1964-5. There was one piece per side. It wouldn't be difficult to fab if they were not a compound curve, and a very visible one at that.

I can post some pictures of a panel taken off of a 1929 Briggs Leatherback if you think that's what you have. It runs all the way from the front door post to about a foot (guessing) past (behind) the rear door post. I believe that this panel on the 60C steelbacks is different and ends at the rear post. Post some pictures if you haven't been able to determine which model you have for sure.

Funny as this sounds, I am pretty sure the 60C that is linked to above actually came from the Omaha, NE area back in the 60's. It is presently owned by a Fordbarner here who might come along and explain the history on how he has it now.

Ironically it appears that this area in the midwest was big on the 60C bodystyle as below is a car that was a friend of my dad's family back in 1929. This car was bought new in the upper NW Missouri area.
