Carburetor Question When I close down my Cabbie engine, I turn off the fuel valve and let the engine idle and run most of the gas out of the carb. A few moments before the engine dies, the engine speed increases.
Question: Does this indicate the carb is set too rich and needs to be leaned out slightly? Please advise. Bill Lee/Virginia Peninsula |
Re: Carburetor Question ANY engine will increase when the fuel mixture is leaned out. This increases the idle quite a bit for a few seconds before it quits running. Perfectly normal
