Install Trunk Lid Bumpers
 

I got some new rubber bumpers to replace the old petrified ones. I tried heating them up in hot tap water and using silicone lube spray, but they are too stiff and the sides of the body block good access with a screwdriver to work the base through the hole. Should I boil them to get them softer or any other suggestions?

Lot's of WD-40...OR cut the rubber part down just so slightly so as it will fit into the hole eaiser.
