My coupe came with sealed beams - so ugly - took me a year before I brought it back to original and yes it also looks so much better

It took me a year to find all the parts to put my original 1950's Sealed Beams BACK in my 1931 Coupe. It looks sooo much better, and illuminates so much better too !

Yes, I am a 1950's kind of a guy . . . . .

If the car is just a driver and you like the stock look, you can get adapters that go inside the stock buckets.

Yes the adapters do allow the continued use of sealed beams behind an original lense but now both lens's fluting is not functional as intended. I think use either one but not both.

Pete, I laughed at the irony of the stock look regarding the headlights considering the car in the picture! It looks nice that way too, I just found it humorous!

Re: Dumped the sealed beams

I have used sealed beams in model A's before. they are hard on the generator but will work. An alternator is best for brighter sealed beams on the model A.
