Questions on 30/31 Body Mounting.
 

Hi Guys,

My 30 Model A was disassembled by a previous owner and I think I am missing some things. I did a lot of searching for info on size and types of body bolts and have not found it so far. If anyone cares to share the size and type bolt used to mount the body I would appreciate it. Also, were caged nuts used inside the frame rails or regular nuts on something like carriage head bolts? New to A's but not cars. Thanks.

what body style do you have?
the suppliers sell everything you need body mount bolt kits, blocks etc

It should be pointed out that the PDF is a scan from the Judging Standards and RESTORATION HANDBOOK.

If you do not have one you can see it would be a valuable asset.

Either of the National A Clubs would be a good place to start. I suggest you join one or both for their club magazines.

I believe most of the major Model A parts houses carry it. I know Brattons does.

While you are at it Vol 6 of the How to Restore Your Model A has an article about the deluxe roadster. Lots of pictures and details.

As soon as someone mentions judging they feel the book is not for them. Everyone should get the book!
