Coil identification

5 Attachment(s)
Need help in identifying a set of early NON Ford ??? coils and switch plate. These are probably from a high end automobile and are marked "fstale" and "depose" on the top (French??). They also have all three terminals on the bottom surface and the removable side cover is attached with brass screws. The two top adjustments are nickel plated. The switch plate is solid brass and the ignition switch is "locked" by using a small padlock through a hole in the switch handle. Thanks for looking : Bruce

Try this question at aaca.org, they have a separate section for "what is it".

Re: Coil identification

I believe your switch is Remy for 1916-1917 Studebaker.

Re: Coil identification

Thanks : You're the second one to identify the switch, and am wondering if the coils could be from the same family as they were all in the same box as the switch when I found them in an attic. Thanks again : Bruce
