Amber cowl light bulbs

I would like my cowl lights to be used as only turn signal lights. I do not want to change the lens to an amber lens so as to keep a more stock look however I cannot find any amber 12 volt 6-10 watt bulbs for my single socket two lower pin assy. I saw that Macs has amber bulbs in a kit to modify two bulb headlights into turn signals but no listing for just the bulbs. Any help?

Just go to a crafts store and buy amber colored glass paint. The stuff used for making fake stained glass.

I have tried that stuff. It will not take the heat.

Just ordered the 97A bulb but then found another in the website, a 67NA for less than half the cost. The difference is the 97A is a painted glass and the 67NA is a colored glass. What is better about the painted one that costs more? I would have thought a natural colored glass would be better (and cheaper). Shipping cost more than the price of 4 bulbs :):)

Shipping has become so expensive and usually results in damaged parts when the post office touches it, that I try to not buy anything through the mail. I just recieved another ebay item damaged
in the mail. I fixed the damage in less time than it would take to fill out all the red tape damage forms at the post office.

If you check the craft stores you might find some thin yellow colored plastic to place behind the clear lens.

Here's a suggestion -- kill 3 birds with one stone:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121285352660...9#ht_741wt_684

Clear lens, Amber bulbs, + LED
