[BUILD] Model T Speedster build Hello All,
I'm new to the forums, but I was referred here by a user today at a car show. I am building a Model T Speedster at the moment, and would love any tips and/or help I could get in the process. I have an album on my profile of some parts I have currently, yes I know I have a WAYS to go, but at the moment I plan to get it going. |

That is a great start. Take your time and enjoy the process. I have enjoyed my speedster since 1967. They are great fun.

Re: [BUILD] Model T Speedster build Even a speedster will have some stock items. A lot of this will apply: http://dauntlessgeezer.com/DG80.html.

Re: [BUILD] Model T Speedster build Seems as if the name of the game on a Speedster is to remove any and all unneeded items to get rid of weight. Start by cleaning and painting the frame , research lowering methods and get it low , the lower the better in my book....
Build the motor as you see fit but perform all the needed tricks to make the drive train reliable, no fun sitting beside the road all day...... Out of all my cars over the years the T Speedsters have been the most fun of all them........:D |
Re: [BUILD] Model T Speedster build One of my favorites i drove for a couple years and sold to a guy in Calif ( wish i had kept it) is the "Simple T' I put many happy miles on this T ..................
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1925-T-Speed...vip=true&rt=nc I bought the body in pieces on ebay over a period of time and put it together. Everything is T , z ed frame, lowered frt axle and modified engine......would cruise at 55-60 all day long and made a few trips from Indy to Chiago etc... |
Re: [BUILD] Model T Speedster build We seem to be in the same boat at the moment. I have axles, frame and an engine. I am accumulating parts for a build this winter. If Michigan pulls the same frigid stunt this year, as last year, I'll have plenty of time.

Re: [BUILD] Model T Speedster build Y'all are great! Thanks very much to all of y'all! (yes I'm from Texas) I am aquiring more and more parts as I'm going along. If anyone needs a front axle with Hassler shocks, I have some on Ebay. Just look up Model T Front Axle w/ Hassler Shocks and you'll find it. ATM it is going for USD $50.00, so its a steal XD
