Step Plates

I just painted the Ford blue in the center of my step plates and now the step plates themselves look dingy. Is there anything that I can use to brighten them up like when they were new? I think there aluminum or something. There the ones that the dealers sell.

Thanks for the help
Tom...............

There is a cleaner called Alumna Bright sold by NAPA. Works good, just be careful around you new oval paint...
