1931 commercial line up 1 Attachment(s)
Here's a great shot, one of my favorites, a line up of new trucks & sedan delivery with a town car delivery leading them. This was taken on Woodward Ave. outside the Highland Park plant power house. W.J. Kennedy Dairy in Detroit, MI. had just purchased them.

Re: 1931 commercial line up I noticed that on the last '18 wheeler', they used a single axle and not a dual. I know the second axle is just a helper, but I figured with weight they would want an extra one.

If you pay attention to Big Rigs today you will notice rigs pulling dual or triple trailers have one rear axle. Duals being shorter don't carry as much weight. Tandem rear axles are used with the longer trailers that carry more weight. My question is what did they do for brakes on the trailers? |
Re: 1931 commercial line up What is the first car in line in the picture?

Re: 1931 commercial line up It is a 'deluxe sedan delivery' if I remember the name correctly.
