Model A Victoria

Good day everyone... Hope you all are having a great Memorial Day weekend. I came across a Model A Victoria and I am curious to know if anyone knows approximately how many of these models are still in existent? I know they were limited in production so I can guess they are not many rolling around. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks

They are not very rare, there are plenty around. However, there are far fewer of them than Tudors or Fordors.

They seem to bring a premium price, depending on condition, of course.

Awhile back a friend & I did this same mental exercise. We figured there are about 250 members of the Victoria Association world wide, and assumed they each had one. We also assumed the VA accounted for maybe 10% of the remaining Vics, which gave us 2500. Now we figured there must be that many hidden in barns, turned into rat-rods and such leading to 5000. With a production of just over 42 thousand that gives a survival rate of over 11%.
Your figures will vary, it's all academic.

Interesting, my body number is 43,230.

I think Justin means his count of Victorias produced differs from the 42,569 figure that Steve quoted, not the body number of his car.

Re: Model A Victoria

No, I agree with Steve's figures, just saying my body was pretty much at the end, being the 42,230 produced.

Do you have a picture of the body tag?

Re: Model A Victoria

I was keeping records for the International Victoria Association back in the 1980s, and the best estimate I could make then was there were about 320 known 190As in existence and this number included basket cases and a few hot rods. The basis for the 320 were information forms filled-out by Association members, plus cars that I came across.

I suspect there are more 190As on the planet, and an uneducated guess would be about 400 survivors in total.

The 190A Victoria Coupe is a rare Ford with a distinct and in many ways unique body design. The 190A does have some features common to the 400A Convertible Sedan and 180A Deluxe Phaeton.

I have one. So that makes at least 3 from this thread alone. :)
