Condenser anti-cooker. Can't tell up from down 2 Attachment(s)
Which way does this thing go?
Like this:.......................... Or this: |
Re: Condenser anti-cooker. Can't tell up from down I also purchased one of these, was unsure of installation and just left it off. Over a year later with the short proof condenser I havnt had any issues. think I'll just leave it off.

Re: Condenser anti-cooker. Can't tell up from down In picture 1 it will hold water. do it like pic 2.
Having said that you have to loosen head nuts to install it, so better drain the coolant first, then go thru a re-torque sequence. Once installed it is hard to get at the dizzy hold down set screw The burn-out proof condenser from the suppliers is the way to go and forget the pie-pan |
Re: Condenser anti-cooker. Can't tell up from down Page 398 of the Service Bulletins shows it like the first picture.

Re: Condenser anti-cooker. Can't tell up from down Yep, it should go as in picture 1, but I'd leave it off rather than mess with loosening head nuts. I don't know of any problems with the new good condensers.

Re: Condenser anti-cooker. Can't tell up from down I already have a short-proof condenser on it so I was mainly interested in placing it in the correct orientation to keep a pack of weenies from rolling off when I make a hard left.
