2 tooth steering ajustment

Is their any adjustment for the 2 tooth steering box. Wheel is tight to shaft, But I have about 3" play before pitman arm moves.

Yep, 4 of them which have to be performed in order. Its best to get a set of the service bulletins or Les Andrews book.

Don't touch the slotted rivet adjustment.

Re: 2 tooth steering ajustment

I just adjusted my 2 tooth box per the Andrews book and it works great. I now have the best steering A I've ever had. Don't worry if you haven't ever done it before. Just follow the procedure and go for it. Jay

while your at it make sure there is no play at the sector to pit man arm
ck it with the wheels on the ground moving the strg back and forth a little
sometimes that bolt needs to be tightened

I've never had a problem with the slotted rivet adjuster. If memory serves me right it is for equalizing the lash either side of the center of steering.
