'33-'34 Firewall body number plates info needed
 

The replacement "Body Number" Plate for the 1933-34 models, has the letters - LB- made in the center of the plate(tag)...Could someone please tell me what gets stamped to the left side of the "LB" , and to the right of the "LB" ???? The body style is 40-700 .....Thank You.....

The model # to the left of LB and the sequence # assigned by the body builder when the body was built goes to the right. This is a 34 roadster body tag below.

The body of your car MAY not have been built by LB. In that case there is another tag.

I have a LB repro body tag for my 34 cabriolet.
As an April manufactured (based on chassis number) Californian vehicle what would be an approximate number for the plate? 760LB xxxx?

40-700 being a Tudor sedan suggests that it was highly likely Ford built and therefore originally would not have any body number tag.

I am a little confused here where you refer to 40-700 being a Tudor sedan where as I was asking about a cabriolet 40-760?

I did read that initially, what I am looking for is an approximate number after the LB.
It should read 760 LB xxxx?
