'36 Ford Coupe Rear Shelf Wood

We are in the process of assembling a '36 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Does anyone have any pictures or diagrams of how the wood is assembled for the rear shelf/trunk area?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Sid,
I have a rear shelf, however delaminated, that I can use for a pattern. What I am really interested in is how it and all the other wood pieces fit together to for the shelf and transition to the trunk.
I'm really looking for a picture of how it's all tied together.
Thanks,
Dave

Nobody sells it that I know of , so you'll have to make your own or get a used one from a junk car.

That curved piecee is just upholstery board not metal

Re: '36 Ford Coupe Rear Shelf Wood

There is a curved piece of metal that the upholstery board and the shelf sit on. It's curved metal in an L shape about 1"by1". To my knowledge no one reproduces it. look closely at photos 2 and 3.

Thanks for this information. With it being 1x1 I can make this.

Re: '36 Ford Coupe Rear Shelf Wood

Does anyone know if there is any upholstery material or other boards between the bottom of the parcel shelf and the floor, or was it completely open to the trunk? Was the seat back the only thing that separated the passenger compartment from the trunk?

I believe there is a board that goes across the front of the trunk floor, presumably to keep items from rolling from the trunk into the passenger compartment.

Thanks,
Dave

The rear shelf on my '36 3w coupe is out while I'm doing the restoration. I'd be glad to get any measurements you need.
